Amber’s French Bakery & Cafe

The place’s motto is telltale: „one bite of France”.

The bakery has a special philosophy: if you enter the café, you will be caught by the feeling of Paris. The place’s every little part recalls the French world and feeling. Not only special coffees, but shakes, ice coffees, smoothies, lemonades, special teas and juices are served besides the delicious croissants, baguettes, sandwiches and salads. If it’s not enough, the place has a confectionery part, too, so you can taste the brullees, or other special desserts there.

The bakery is at the Fővám square, opposite the big shopping centre, the Big Market Place. If you go there with the metro line 4, you are sure to find it.

Kuglóf Diner

Found on the Piarista alley it provides for us that we have a stodgy breakfast in the city centre.

The Kuglóf has its own products, which are made on site. If you enter the tidy, cute diner your nose will immediately feel the amazing and fresh fragnances of the pastries and coffees. But you can also choose from egg dishes, sandwiches, salads and diner dishes as well. In the summer you can test their homemade lemonade with a delicious cookie on their cute balcony.

Madal Café

This place serves new wave coffees since 2013, today they have three shops.

The place’s goal is to give a great coffee experience to their guests and also establish a small island of peace. They got the name after the peace philosopher, Sri Chinmoy, because his nickname was Madal when he was a kid. The philosopher publicized a lot of natural equipments, relaxating music and energizing decoctions.

So you can try the Café in Újlipótváros, at the Parliament, or in the Ferenciek square, too.

Double Shot

Its name is rather telling: the staff offers double doses of coffee.

The special café in Újlipótváros, on the Pozsony Road serve not only coffees, but homemade cakes and sandwiches, too. The place opens early in the morning, so many locals like starting the day in the tiny café. If you have a coffee in the Double Shot, don’t forget to check the place’s special toilet.

Fekete Brew & Food Bar

This new wave café is a real take-away shop, with a little place and friendly staff.

While the coffee-lovers are waiting for their favourite coffee, they can see the whole speical coffee machine and every work with the special drinks. The Fekete’s coffee is really soft tasted, you can choose from sweet or tart coffee, as well, but there are also sandwiches, cakes and etxra fruit nectars! Don’t miss their English hot chocolate and organic Cosy teas!

Guests can find this little, lovely place in the Múzeum krt 5.

New York Café

This special place is more than a café.

This is chosen for one of the most beautiful cafés in the world, so this is a really liked meeting point not only for the tourists, but the art-lovers’, as well. The place is more than 120 years old, so it has a real aristoctratic feeling with the gold, marble, wood and crystal decoration.

The 19th century coffee mood and the sublime are waiting for you, on the Boscolo Hotel’s downstairs, on the big road (Erzsébet krt.).

Kontakt Café

Here not only the coffee has a story, but also the one who drinks it!

You can find this special café in the Röser garden on Károly krt. It has a clean design, popular hommade cakes, and a really special drink: the cold, draft coffee! It’s really refreshing espacially in the hot summer.

Espresso Embassi

They serves espresso, cortado, flat white and cappucino as well, and the special made filter-coffee, which can be the most delicious without milk and sugar.

Cocoa or walnut snail, croissant and sandwich is also available in the popular café, in the Arany János street, on the metro line 3.

Mesterbike + Coffee Project

The Café combines the coffee project and the biking sport, but for those, who just would like to drink a delicious coffee, the place is also perfect.

The café with the huge windows has a big space for the retro, modern and high-tech bicycles and qualtative coffees, too. The establishment, launched as a family business, now they have their own uniquely decorated location. The café is fast becoming one of the most special tourist attractions of Budapest.

You can try the place in the Mester street, on the tram line 4-6 in downtown.
